Post Show Report Obuv. Mir Kozhi 2020. Autumn
The autumn edition of Obuv. Mir Kozhi 2020 took place despite the global pandemic. Unfortunately, a lot of exhibitors from Italy and other countries could not come to Moscow because of it. But still the exhibition showcased many new collections for the Spring/Summer 2021 season from leading Italian manufactures of shoes and leather products. The exhibition also introduced a new online business networking format for buyers and owners of Italian shoe factories.

Types of products on display: ladies’, men’s, and children’s shoes, sports and casual shoes, leather goods and accessories, care products, bags, purses, briefcases, wallets, suitcases, gloves, outwear, umbrellas, belts, etc.
As usual, the Italian national pavilion was the largest part of the exhibition.
On the first day of the exhibition, Francesco Pensabene, Director of ICE Moscow, Trade Promotion Section of the Italian Embassy in Moscow, Coordinator for Russian Federation, Armenia & Belarus, delivered a welcome address and gave an interview where he assessed the cooperation prospects as positive.
The show brought together leading manufacturers and suppliers of leather of leather footwear, bags and accessories, representatives of retail chains, retailers and wholesalers from 66 regions of Russia. According to the participants, the show was very successful and in many ways exceeded expectations. There were a lot of negotiations. Many companies generated sales leads and partners and signed contracts for supply of new collections.
This year all supporting events were held online.
The Kosygin Russian State University and EXPOCENTRE AO held the Shoes Design 2020. Autumn Festival of Young Designers and the International Student Professional Olympics.
There were 46 entries submitted to the competition of the Festival of Young Designers. The winners were decided by a professional jury panel and an open Internet voting in two nominations, Shoes, and Shoes and Accessories. The festival also introduced a new Audience Choice Award.

The next edition of the exhibition, Obuv. Mir Kozhi 2021. Spring, will be held in Pavilion No.7 of EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds on 16–19 March 20201.
