Exhibitors from seven countries were able to come to Obuv’s autumn edition. It means that we have returned to the traditional and planned events.
The show has made us once again fully realise how important it is to organise offline events, especially in this sector, where the physical characteristics of the materials used have to be felt to understand the characteristics and quality of the product, how much buyers and producers need direct personal contact to react in time to market changes, to be aware of new trends, to seek new ways to develop business and promote products, and to remain competitive in the international leather goods market.
This season we could once again see a large-scale presence of Italian factories at the showr. Obuv. Mir Kozhi 2021. Autumn once again became a unique platform to showcase the creativity and know-how of Italian manufacturers, renowned all over the world for the quality and sophistication of their products and fashion trends.
On its second day, the show was visited by Giorgio Starace, Italy’s new ambassador to Russia, and Francesco Pensabene, Director at the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) Moscow Office and Head of ICE in Russia, Armenia and Belarus.
This autumn’s edition was characterised by high business activity and a good working atmosphere. The show allowed buyers to freely see the whole range of new footwear and leather goods, successfully plan business for the coming season, and conclude profitable contracts for wholesale supplies of footwear and leather goods directly from manufacturers.
Within the conference programme, the Kosygin Russian State University and EXPOCENTRE held the online Festival of Young Designers – SHOES DESIGN 2021. Autumn. This year, young designers submitted 51 works for the festival. The winners were chosen by a jury and online voting in three nominations: Shoes, Accessories, and Shoes and Accessories.
